PDF Editor

Open a PDF in your browser, click existing text to edit it in place, add or white-out text, insert images and signatures, then download the edited PDF.

What you can do

  • Click existing text and change it in place (fix names, numbers, dates).
  • Add new text anywhere on the page.
  • White-out / cover content you want to hide or replace.
  • Insert an image or a signature.
  • 100% private — the file never leaves your browser.

Good to know (limits)

  • It's not a word processor — PDF text can't reflow, so paragraphs won't re-wrap.
  • Edited text uses an approximated font (Helvetica) and is black by default, so it may not perfectly match the original style.
  • A much longer replacement can overflow its line — best for short edits.
  • Scanned PDFs (images) have no selectable text; use Add text / Whiteout instead.

Why Use This Tool?

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?

Yes — switch to 'Edit text' and click any text on the page to change it in place. Because PDFs store text as fixed glyphs (not reflowable paragraphs), the editor covers the original and redraws your edit at the same spot; the font is approximated and a much longer edit may overflow the line.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is opened, edited, and re-saved entirely in your browser, so confidential documents never leave your device.

How do I add a signature?

Use 'Add image' to insert a PNG or JPG of your signature, then drag and resize it into place before downloading. A transparent PNG works best.

Does editing keep the rest of the PDF intact?

Yes. The original pages are preserved at full quality and your edits are drawn on top, so only the areas you change are affected.
